BEAVER VALLEY POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2- REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RE: REVIEW OF LICENSEE SECURITY PLANS (TAC NOS. MF5008 AND MF5009)

Dear Mr. Larson:

By letter dated June 24, 2014, FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (the licensee) submitted Revision 18 to its security plans (Physical Security Plan, Safeguards Contingency Plan, and Training and Qualification Plan), under the provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 50.54(p)(2). To complete its review, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff requests a response to the enclosed questions.

The draft questions were sent to Mr. Phil Lashley, of your staff, to ensure that the questions were understandable, the regulatory basis for the questions was clear, and to determine if the information was previously docketed. Please respond to the enclosed questions within 30 days of the date of this letter.
