NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-261/88-16
This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted by
L. W. Garner on June 10 - July 10, 1988. The inspection included a review of
activities authorized for your H. B. Robinson facility. At the conclusion of
the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff
identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.
Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records,
interviews with personnel,
and observation of
activities in progress.
Within the scope of the inspection,
a second example of violation
50-261/88-07-01,
involving declaration and notification of an unusual event,
was identified. Because the associated event was addressed in your response to
violation 50-261/88-07-01,
no Notice of Violation is being issued.
However,
you are reminded that a supplement to that response was formally requested and
is due no later than August 12, 1988.
Your attention is invited to an unresolved item identified in the inspection
report. This matter will be pursued during future inspections.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
