GENERIC LETTER 83-28, ITEMS 4.2.1 AND 4.2.2 Re:
San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 (SONGS-1)
The NRC staff has completed its review of your submittals dated November 28, 1983, April 27, 1984, October 1, 1984, and May 14, 1985 regarding the subject items.
We have determined that there are certain open issues which must be resolved before the subject items can be considered completed. We request that you commit to perform undervoltage trip response time testing and to perform trending analysis on the resulting data.
Our related Safety Evaluation is enclosed. We request that you respond to these open issues within 45 days of receipt of this letter.
This request for information was approved by the Office of Management and Budget under clearance number 3150-0011 which expires September 30, 1989.
