In support of tw,-o reactor safeguards programis, one aimed at reviewing thie-effectiveness!,of.N RC's safeguards regulations and the other-aimed at validating vital area designations,.full-size engineering drawings of.your facility's layout and systems are needed. NRC review teams involved in these programs need these drawings prior to.executing the reviews and validations.onsite. FSAR drawings do not suit their needs because they..are too small and lack Sufficient detail for locating and Identifying vital components.
Since it is-likely that one of the review teams will be requesting to visit theSan Onofre site during FY? 83, you-are requested to send a set of the drawings specified in the enclosure as soon as poss' Jbie to:
