ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 137 TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE NO. DPR-13 FOR THE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (TAC NO. 76981)
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.137 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1. The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated June 11, 1990.
The amendment revises Technical Specification 4.0.2 to remove the 3.25 limit for extending three consecutive surveillance intervals. This revision is in accordance with the guidance provided by Generic Letter 89-14, "Line Item Improvements in Technical Specifications - Removal of the 3.25 Limit on Extending Surveillance Intervals."
A copy of our related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. The notice of issuance will be included in the Commission's next regular biweekly Federal Register notice.
