The Commission has issued the enclosed Exemption to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1, in response to.your request dated.July 30, 1987.

Fire Area 1-AB-11-34 (Pipe Tunnel) is exempted from Section III.G.3 of Appendix R to 10 CFR Part 50 to the extent that this area is not protected by a fixed fire suppression system.,

The Exemption has been sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
