ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 115 TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (TAC NO. 68171)
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 115 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1. The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated March 10, 1988, as supplemented March 22 and 29, 1988.
The amendment revises the steam generator tube plugging criteria to allow tubes with defects in the rolled region of the tube sheet to remain in service provided that the first inch of rolled tube contains no imperfections, and makes permanent the interim approval granted by Amendment No. 101 issued on May 6, 1988.
Copies of our related Safety Evaluation and Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
