MAINTAIN SPHERE PURGE AIR SUPPLY AND AIR OUTLET MANUAL ISOLATION VALVES LOCKED CLOSED DURING MODES 1 THROUGH 4 Re:
San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 71 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Unit No. 1. This amendment is in response to your application dated September 9, 1983. Your proposed Technical Specification change request regarding containment testing requirements will be the subject of a separate licensing action.
This amendment approves Technical Specification changes which require that manual valves CVS-301 and CVS-313 of the Sphere Purge Air Supply and Air Outlet lines, respectively, be locked closed during Modes 1, 2, 3, and 4.
A Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for Hearing related to the requested action was published in the Federal Register on November 22, 1983 (48 FR 52826).
No request for hearing was received and no comments were received.
