Box 800 2244 Walnut Grove Avenue Rosemead, California 91770 Docket No. 50-361 Notice of.Violation Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on March 6-9, 1979, it appears that one of your activities was not conducted in full compliance with conditions of your NRC Construction Permit No.
CPPR-97 as indicated below:
10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B, Criterion V, as implemented by the PSAR, Appendix A, Attachment 1, Chapter 17 requires that activities affecting quality be accomplished in accordance with prescribed drawings.
Contrary to the above, pipe support No. S2-CS-001-H-020 was installed in the Unit 2 safety equipment building and accepted on January 11, 1979 althoughthe assembly was not fully in accordance with the prescribed drawing. Intermittent 5/16 inch fillet welds specified by the drawing for the strut to pipe sleeve connection were omitted.
This is an infraction.
