PROPOSED DIRECTORS DECISION ON TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS SECTION 2.206, REQUESTS FOR ACTION UNDER THIS SUBPART, PETITION FROM MR. GEOFF FETTUS OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES DEFENSE COUNCIL The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed a petition from Mr. Geoff Fettus of the Natural Resources Defense Council, dated July 27, 2011, under Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.206 (10 CFR 2.206), Requests for Action under this Subpart. I have enclosed the NRCs proposed directors decision on the petition.
I request that you provide comments to me on any part of the decision that you believe is in error or any issues in the petition that you believe that NRC has not addressed. The NRC staff is making a similar request of the petitioner. The NRC staff will then review any comments provided by you and the petitioner and consider them in the final version of the director's decision, with no further opportunity to comment.
