NRC Decommissioning Process

TMI-2 Decommissioning Process

  • The March 28, 1979, accident made the shutdown of TMI TMI-2 2 different from all other reactors.
  • NRC C approved PDMS SS SAR on September 14, 1993, with License Amendment 45.
  • GPU submits PSDAR on June 28, 2013, to establish compliance with 50.82.
