Post-Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR)

Overview
- The licensee submitted the PSDAR to the NRC for review on February 28, 2013.
- The NRC will complete the review of the PSDAR and notify the licensee of any significant concerns by May 29, 2013
- The licensee may begin decommissioning activities after the NRC has completed their review and after any significant issues identified by the NRC have been addressed
- The NRC does not approve the PSDAR
What is the PSDAR?
A description and schedule of the licensees planned decommissioning activities An estimate of the expected decommissioning costs; and A discussion that provides the means for concluding that the environmental impacts associated with the decommissioning activities will be bounded by appropriately issued Environmental Impact Statements The PSDAR should follow the guidelines in NRC Regulatory Guide 1.185
