In the referenced letter, NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC (hereafter NextEra Energy Duane Arnold) requested, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, revision to the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC).
The requested amendment proposed to revise the DAEC TS by modifying existing Surveillance Requirements (SRs) regarding the battery terminal and charger voltages and amperage provided in SR 3.8.4.1 and SR 3.8.4.6.
The referenced request was intended to support battery upgrades at the DAEC during the current refueling outage. Those plans have been revised. Consequently, NextEra Energy Duane Arnold is hereby requesting that this license amendment request be withdrawn from further Staff review. It is anticipated that a revised request will be resubmitted at a future date.
This letter makes no new commitments or changes to any existing commitments.
