ME8300 - LIC-109 Amendment Acceptance Review Results.
In a letter dated March 22, 2012, (ADAMS Accession No. ML12082A105), NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC (the licensee) requested an amendment to the Renewed Facility Operating License for the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC). The request was identified as License Amendment Request (TSCR-132): Application for Technical Specification Change Regarding Battery Terminal and Charger Voltage and Amperage. The affected Technical Specification (TS) Section was TS 3.8.4.
The proposed amendment would revise the DAEC TS by modifying existing Surveillance Requirements (SRs) regarding the battery terminal and charger voltages and amperage provided in SR 3.8.4.1 and SR 3.8.4.6.
For tracking purposes this project was assigned the TAC number ME8300.
The NRC staff found your March 22, 2012 application acceptable for review per the guidance of NRR Office Instruction LIC-109.
