WATERFORD STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 3 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST (TAC NO. ME9774)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated October 8, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12284A515), you applied for an amendment to the Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 (Waterford 3), Facility Operating license No. NPF-38. The proposed change would have modified the Waterford 3 technical specifications (TS) related to the number of dry cooling tower fans needed for operability of the ultimate heat sink contained in Table 3.7-3 ofTS 3/4.7.4. Subsequently, by letter dated October 18, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12293A099), you withdrew the amendment request.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above-cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
