Dear Sir or Madam:
In Reference 1, Entergy submitted a license amendment request to modify the requirements for the number of dry cooling tower (DCT) fans required for Operability of the ultimate heat sink while a maintenance-related temporary work platform is installed above the Train B DCT.
This request was a one time technical specification (TS) change to Table 3.7-3 of Waterford 3 TS 3/4.7.4, Ultimate Heat Sink. This change was in support of refueling outage 18 and was only applicable for the period of time that was needed for Waterford 3 to enter Mode 5 at the beginning of the outage. Waterford 3 entered Mode 5 for this outage on October 17, 2012.
Therefore, the Mode of Applicability for the requested change is no longer applicable. Entergy is hereby withdrawing the proposed amendment request.
There are no new commitments associated with this submittal.
