By Reference 1, I&M, the licensee for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) Units 1 and 2, proposed to amend Facility Operating Licenses DPR-58 and DPR-74 to adopt a new fire protection program Security-Related Information -Withhold From Public Disclosure Under 10 CFR 2.390.

Enclosure 2 to this letter contains security-related information.

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission AEP-NRC-2012-58 Page 2 based on NFPA Standard 805, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.48(a) and (c). Reference 1, (hereafter referred to as the Transition Report) provided information associated with the CNP transition to NFPA 805. By Reference 2, the NRC transmitted a request for additional information (RAI) regarding the proposed amendment. As stated in Reference 2, I&M agreed to provide responses to all information requests within 90-days of the date of Reference 2, with the exception of RAI-14, -20, -29, and -31. I&M agreed to provide responses to these RAIs within 180 days of the date of Reference 2. I&M informed the NRC staff in a teleconference on April 12, 2012, and via e-mail on April 19, 2012, that the responses to RAI-15(b) and RAI-16 would also be provided within 180 days of the date of Reference 2. Reference 3 transmitted I&M's responses to the 90 day information requests. On July 23, 2012, I&M informed the NRC that responses to the "180 day" RAls would be provided no later than August 9, 2012. This letter provides I&M's responses to those information requests, i.e., RAI-14, -15(b), -16, -20, -29, -31, and -34. to this letter provides an affirmation statement. Enclosure 2 to this letter provides I&M's responses to the information requests. Enclosure 3 provides a revision of Attachment M, "License Condition Changes," to the Transition Report in response to RAI-15(b). Enclosure 4 provides a revision of Attachment S, "Plant Modifications and Items to be Completed During Implementation," to the Transition Report, also response to RAI 15(b).

Copies of this letter and its enclosures are being transmitted to the Michigan Public Service Commission and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91. This letter contains no new or modified regulatory commitments.
