ENTERGY NUCLEAR ENGINEERING FTK-ESPP-G00019 QUALIFICATION CARD REV 2 IMPLEMENTING THE FLOW ACCELERATED CORROSION (FAC) PROGRAM Trainee Instructions:

After completing the prerequisite coursework, review the learning objectives to become familiar with the knowledge to be obtained by completing this qualification card. Using the listed references, acquire the knowledge needed to satisfy the stated learning objectives through self-study, discussions with other incumbents or subject matter experts, or practical experience. Arrange an interview with the mentor to evaluate the learning achieved and discuss the listed familiarization topics. Bring this card to the mentor interview. Perform a practical or exercise, or provide a detailed discussion of task performance, as directed in the learning objectives.

Mentor Instructions:

Conduct the mentoring/evaluation in accordance with Nuclear Management Manual EN-TQ-104 procedure, Attachment 9.5. Review the learning objectives and discuss with the trainee. Evaluation of the trainees mastery of the learning objectives is expected.

However, qualitative evaluations may be used. For example, trainee mastery could be assessed using the following techniques:

  • Asking hypothetical or situation questions and having the trainee provide an answer.
  • Asking the trainee to state, describe, paraphrase, or discuss the requirement.
  • Asking the trainee what referenced documents (above) provide guidance about the requirement.
  • Asking the trainee to explain how applicable forms are completed.

Some learning objectives may require use of the applicable referenced documents because of the infrequent need to use the knowledge, the extent and complexity of presentation, or the level of detail and amount of material to be covered. Except when noted by an asterisk (*) behind the objective number, the trainee may use the listed standards or reference materials during the interview. When using listed standards or reference materials, the trainee should be able to quickly choose the applicable document and reference the required information.
