OF DECEMBER 12,2011, MEETING WITH PAUL GUNTER ET AL REGARDING THEIR 10 CFR 2.206 PETITION TO SUSPEND THE OPERATING LICENSES (OLs) FOR NORTH ANNA 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. ME7363 AND ME7364)

On December 12, 2011, a Category 3 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Paul Gunter et al (petitioners) at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to provide the petitioners an opportunity to address the NRC Petition Review Board. A list of attendees is provided in the meeting transcript (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12033A025).

On October 20, 2011, Paul Gunter, Kevin Kamps, Thomas Saporito, Paxus Calta, Alex Jack, Scott Price, and John Cruickshank submitted a petition pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.206 regarding the suspension of OLs for North Anna 1 and 2 (ADAMS Accession No. ML11293A116).

As described in Management Directive 8.11, "Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions," the petitioners are provided the opportunity to address the PRB in order to provide any relevant additional explanation and support for the petition in advance of the PRB's evaluation. The meeting was recorded by the NRC's Operations Center and transcribed by a court reporter.
