ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW OF BOILING WATER REACTOR OWNERS GROUP (BWROG) TOPICAL REPORT BWROG-TP-11-022, REVISION 1, PRESSURE-TEMPERATURE LIMITS REPORT METHODOLOGY FOR BOILING WATER REACTORS (TAC NO. ME7649)
Dear Mr. Schiffley:
By letter dated November 17, 2011, the BWROG submitted for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review Licensing Topical Report (LTR) BWROG-TP-11-022, Revision 1 (SIR-05-044), Pressure-Temperature Limits Report Methodology for Boiling Water Reactors.
The NRC staff has performed an acceptance review of the LTR and found that the material presented provides the technical information in sufficient detail to enable the NRC staff to proceed with a detailed technical review. The NRC staff expects to issue its request for additional information by April 13, 2012, and issue its draft safety evaluation by October 12, 2012. The NRC staff estimates that the review will require approximately 140 hours0.00162 days <br />0.0389 hours <br />2.314815e-4 weeks <br />5.327e-5 months <br /> including project management time. The review schedule milestones and estimated review costs were discussed and agreed upon in a telephone call between Lucas Martins, Project Manager, BWROG, and Joe Golla, Project Manager, NRC staff on January 23, 2012.
