EXPERIENCE Xcel Nuclear (Prairie Island Nuclear Station) Welch, Minnesota May 2006 to present BUSINESS SUPPORT (November 2009 to present) - Responsible for strategic planning for the Business Department, cost analysis safety of employee training and personnel development.

Direct responsibility for Performance Assessment, Business & Strategic Planning, Procedures, Emergency Planning and Administrative Support Departments. Indirect responsibility for sites Finance, IT, Supply Chain and Security Departments.

PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT (May 2006 to November 2009) - Responsible for management of the Corrective Action Program 10CFR 50 appendix B compliance, station Human Performance improvement, Operating Experience, Self-Assessments/Benchmarking and issuing station Performance Indicators. Managing these processes includes direct supervision, management of the Performance Assessment Review Board and frequent interface with the NRC resident, off site safety review board and senior management. INPO noted station improved over review cycle due to more effective management of priorities and identification of focus areas.

Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) Miami, Florida August 1981 to April 2006 MAINTENANCE TRAINING - (January 2006 to April 2006) Assigned responsibility to reconstitute the new journeymen program, develop training schedule and program for 35-50 new hire maintenance journeymen. During this period became a certified Instructor.

OPERATIONS COMMAND CENTER MAINTENANCE MANAGER - (August 2004 to December 2005) Represented the maintenance manager to complete efficient work execution.

This assignment included refueling and on-line maintenance activities. This assignment mandated extensive communication and coordination between departments including negotiating effective solutions to competing objectives and limited resources.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - Turkey Point Nuclear (February 2003 to August 2004)

Responsible for developing standardized processes for departmental initiatives including self assessments and human performance improvement. Coordinated responses for and responding to corrective actions. Worked on the team to create the Performance Improvement Department addressing NRC concerns for meeting the requirements of 10CFR50.

WORK WEEK MANAGER - Turkey Point Nuclear (February 2002 to February 2003)

Rotational assignment involving scheduling, coordinating and execution maintenance and operation activities on this site. This involves balancing manpower, work activities and materials availability against the operational requirements of the plant.

LEAD PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - Mechanical Maintenance Turkey Point Nuclear (August 2000 to February 2002) Duties included day to day supervision of first line supervisors including managing work activities. Developed long term plans for individual training needs and resolution of labor issues. Resolved over 125 grievances in one year.

SITE SUPERINTENDENT - Land Utilization Turkey Point Nuclear - (July 1991 to August 2000)

Completed SRO Certification training (March 1999 to January 2000). Itinerant craft supervisor during refueling outages for 3 years working primarily on secondary systems.

Responsible for all activities outside the power block on a 25,000 acre site, inclusive of operation and maintenance of the 5,000 acre cooling canal system, planning and administration of the budgeting, manpower and priorities of the staff which including in-house and contract personnel and budgeting, construction and maintenance of daycare, satellite school, fitness center and gun range facilities. Routinely interfaced with senior plant management, environmental county and state regulatory personnel and Nuclear Regulatory Commission personnel on various issues.

Identified an unrealized asset, developed and executed contract to sell rock fill material realizing a net profit in excess of $1 million. Routinely competitively bid against outside vendors for work.

Responsible for permitting, budgeting and rebuilding of facilities after the arrival of Hurricane Andrew.

SENIOR FUEL COORDINATOR - Fuel Resources - (October 1990 to June 1991, successive promotions from October 1983 to October 1990) Developed, coordinated and executed a test on use of lower cost residual fuel oil resulting in over $20 million in fuel cost reductions. Assisted in the development of long and short-term natural gas supply and transportation contracts.

Coordinated internal audits and established controls for processing invoices. Resolved various operational issues related to the consumption of natural gas. Was a member of corporate team analyzing future generation construction (4 years). Coordinated fuel-related aspects of an Orimulsion test, including terminal and barge modifications.

Developed comprehensive oil supply contracts including bid solicitation, economic evaluation and price and terms negotiations. Successfully completed rotational assignments into fuel oil terminal operations and fuel scheduling. Supervised contract personnel and monitored daily operations and maintenance of five fuel oil terminal sites. Prepared annual budgets and interfaced with local regulatory agencies. Solicited bids for, developed and administered contracts for ocean going barges including quality and quantity delivery inspections; loss control and scheduling for system wide deliveries.

ASSOCIATE POWER RESOURCES TECHNICIAN - Power Resources - (August 1981 to September 1983) Performed quality assurance analysis on heavy and light fuel, lubricating and stator oils. Conducted routine water analysis mandated by the EPA. Accountable for installation and diagnostic of state-of-the-art analytical equipment.

ENVIORNMENTAL TECHNICIAN - (June 1980 to August 1981) contracted to Florida Power

& Light. Performed all environmental collection analysis at the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant and prepared regulatory documentation required by the NRC.
