In Reference 1, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) requested an amendment to Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-39 and NPF-85 for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2, respectively. Specifically, the proposed changes revise the Operating License and Technical Specifications to implement an increase in rated thermal power of approximately 1.65%. In Reference 2, the NRC requested additional information to support review of the proposed changes.

EGC had previously agreed to provide a response to this request for additional information by August 16, 2010. After further review of the technical issues and the level of detail needed by the NRC staff to perform a review, EGC has determined that the first request (i.e., Request 1 of the three requests contained in Reference 2) will require additional time to complete. Therefore, EGC is proposing to provide a response to Request 1 by August 31, 2010. The responses to A--(Or(

This proposed approach and schedule was discussed in a teleconference with Mr. Peter Bamford of the NRC on July 26, 2010.
