The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed the application submitted by Public Service Enterprise Group Nuclear, LLC (PSEG) for the license renewal application for the Salem Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, and Hope Creek Generating Station. The NRC staff has identified areas where additional information is needed to complete its review.

Transmission Lines In the ERs Sec 4-13, for Salem and Hope Creek, owner/operators of the transmission lines conduct aerial and ground surveillance and maintenance to ensure design ground clearances do not change. How often are ground and/or aerial surveillance and maintenance undertaken?
Transmission Lines During the site audit, there were some conversations that did not match information provided in the ER. Please review the ER text regarding the transmission lines in Section 3.1.6 of the ER (Transmission System), and Table 3.1-4 to verify the accuracy of the ER text with regards to length of lines. Provide a conclusion regaring this review.
