- Linda, By letter dated March 31, 2009, Southern California Edison submitted proposed changes to the Emergency Plan (E-Plan) for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) Units 1, 2, and 3. The proposed E-Plan changes would incorporate new Emergency Action Levels (EALs),
based on the methodology outlined in NEI 99-01, Revision 5, "Methodology for Development of Emergency Action Levels," February 2008.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has reviewed your application and we have determined that additional information is needed to complete our review. Attached is a draft request for additional information (RAI) for your review and consideration. Prior to your submittal of a formal response to the RAI, we recommend that NRC and SCE have a conference call to discuss the draft RAI questions to ensure that SCE understands the staff's request.
