U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0-6B2 Rockville, Maryland The purpose of the conference call between Southern Nuclear Operating Company Inc., (SNC, the licensee), and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is to discuss the licensee's planned overall path forward regarding the response to the NRC's Request for Additional Information pertaining to Generic Letter 2004-02, "Potential Impact of Debris Blockage on Emergency Recirculation during Design Basis Accidents at Pressurized-Water Reactors," dated December 2, 2008 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML083100142) for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2. This meeting will focus on the questions that the NRC staff requested additional information on during the public conference call held August 13, 2009.

This is a Category 1 Meeting via conference call. The public is invited to participate in this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.

Proprietary information may be discussed at certain times during the meeting. These portions of the meeting will be closed to members of the public who have not been granted access to the information by the owner of the information.
