The purpose of the conference call between Southern Nuclear Operating Company Inc., (SNC, the licensee), and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is to discuss the licensee's planned overall path forward regarding the response to the NRC's Request for Additional Information pertaining to Generic Letter 2004-02, "Potential Impact of Debris Blockage on Emergency Recirculation during Design Basis Accidents at Pressurized-Water Reactors," dated December 2,2008 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession No. ML083100142) for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2.

  • This is a Category 1 Meeting via conference call. The public is invited to participate in this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
