RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION
Dear Mr. Joyce:
On August 18, 2009, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received PSEG LLCs application for renewal of facility operating license NPF-57 for Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS). We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.101, and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, a schedule for the review will then be provided to you.
We have enclosed for your information a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Donnie Ashley as the Project Manager for the safety review, and Mr. Jay Robinson as the Project Manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of all license renewal correspondence to Mr. Ashley. Mr. Rick Ennis continues to remain responsible for NRC project management of all issues other than license renewal for HCGS.
