ME0464 - draft text intended to be responsive to a DAEC letter pertaining to a typo error I prepare some draft language to respond to your anticipated letter. The final text will be incorporated into the concurred letter:

ME0464 - Draft text planned in anticipation of receipt of a letter withdrawing the request for correction of a typographical error The text below has not yet been edited or vetted for concurrence. The text in the issued letter will respond to the text contained in the docketed supplement.

1.0 INTRODUCTION

(in part)

In a supplemental letter dated _________, 2009, (ADAMS accession No. ML________ ) the licensee withdrew its request for the correction of a typographical error unrelated to its adoption of TSTF-511. The request and its withdrawal are discussed in Section 3.1 of this Safety Evaluation.

3.1 Correction of a typographical error in TS 5.2.2.d In its application letter the licensee identified a typographical error it believed to be in TS 5.2.2.d on TS page 5.0-3. The stated correction would have deleted the letter d in the word provided such that the affected phrase starting in the third line of TS 5.2.2.d would have become in order to provide for unexpected absence In a letter dated ____________, 2009, (ADAMS accession No. ML__________) the licensee withdrew its request for correction of the typographical error, noting that the docketed version of the current License and Technical Specifications (ML053050309) does not contain this typographical error in TS 5.2.2.d. The current phrase in document ML053050309 is in order to provide for unexpected absence Therefore, the NRC staff acknowledges the withdrawal of the requested correction. The text of TS 5.2.2.d will remain unchanged.
