Duane Arnold Energy Center Docket No. 50-331 Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-266, 50-301 Seabrook Station Docket No. 50-443 Notice of Legal Name Changes The purpose of this letter is to provide a courtesy notice to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of a legal name change to the licensees for the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC),
Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Point Beach), and Seabrook Station (Seabrook).
Effective April 16, 2009, the legal names of the following licensees will be changed as follows:
Old Company Name New Company Name FPL Energy Duane Arnold, LLC NextEra Energy Duane Arnold, LLC FPL Energy Seabrook, LLC NextEra Energy Seabrook, LLC FPL Energy Point Beach, LLC NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC These changes are to the legal names of the licensees only and do not change the corporate structure for any of the licensees for DAEC, Point Beach, or Seabrook. All other information and business aspects of each company will remain the same. While the legal names of each company will be changed, no physical changes are being made to DAEC, Point Beach, or Seabrook, there will be no changes to the day-to-day operation of those facilities, and there will be no changes to the current design or licensing bases of those facilities.
Requests for administrative license amendments to reflect the legal name changes for each licensee will be submitted to the NRC at a later date.
