Brenda, Revised wording for the RAIs (as approved by the ITSB/BC) are given below. The basic information needs have not changed.

Hope this version provides some clarity and would save some time in our discussions this afternoon.

Request for Additional Information:

Susquehanna TS LCO 3.0.2 Bases State that Entering ACTIONS for [Corrective Maintenance]

must be done in a manner that does not compromise safety. PPL Susquehanna had requested and received two previous extensions for LCO 3.8.1, Required Action A.3, due to deficiencies in ST performance and operation in 2002 & 2003.

1. Justify that the third request to extend TS 3.8.1 Required Action A.3, for ST replacement at power since 2002, represents a plant corrective maintenance practice that is done in a manner that does not compromise safety.

2. Show that in making the third request for extending the completion time of LCO 3.8.1 Required Action A.3, to replace damaged/degraded station transformers considered the previous two requests thereby ensuring that intentional entry into ACTIONS was not made for operational convenience in accordance with LCO 3.0.2.

3. Explain why a third extension for replacing station transformers is not symptomatic of a design inadequacy with PPL Susquehanna in meeting the 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> Completion Time as required by LCO 3.8.1.
