Examinee demonstrates where a copy of the Exelon Reportability Reference Manual can be obtained.

CUE After examinee demonstrates where corporate procedures can be obtained, provide examinee with copy of the Exelon Reportability Reference Manual.

NOTE The examinee is not required to fill out an ENS form.

CUE If the examinee asks about an ENS form, inform the examinee that completion of the form is not required.

NOTE Items 2 and 3 may be performed in any order. The Examinee is not required to list the exact 10CFR requirement; however, 10CFR 50.72(b)(2)(iv)(B) is the most limiting requirement.

SAF 1.7 also applies; however, 10 CFR 50.72(b)(3)(iv)(A) is an 8 hour9.259259e-5 days
0.00222 hours
1.322751e-5 weeks
3.044e-6 months
requirement and therefore would not meet the definition of the most limiting requirement. The initiating cue directs the examinee to identify the most limiting notification time requirement.

 • 2.

Utilize Exelon Reportability Reference Manual to determine notification requirements.

Examinee determines SAF 1.6 applies for RPS actuation.

 • 3.

Utilize Exelon Reportability Reference Manual to determine the most limiting notification requirement.

Examinee determines the notification is required within 4 hours4.62963e-5 days
0.00111 hours
6.613757e-6 weeks
1.522e-6 months
.

 • Reactor power is 6%.

At 0030 the following events occur:

 • A Group I Isolation occurs
 • U-1 reactor automatically scrams At 0040, Unit-1 plant status is as follows:
 • All Scram Hard Card actions are complete.
 • All RPS Group Lights are EXTINQUISHED.
 • RWM indicates 182 rods FULL IN and 3 rods UNKNOWN.
 • APRM Downscales are LIT.
 • All IRMs are on Range 1 and INDICATING between 20 and 50
 • SRMs are INDICATING approximately 2,000 cps.

INITIATING CUE Determine if the event is reportable, and if so, identify the most limiting notification time requirement. Inform the Shift Manager of the results of your review.
