CRYSTAL RIVER NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NO. 3 - WITHDRAWAL OF RELIEF REQUEST NO.08-001-IT, REVISION 0, (TAC NO. MD7353)
Dear Mr. Young:
By letter dated October 31, 2007 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML073100094), Florida Power Corporation (the licensee) submitted the updated Inservice Inspection Testing (IST) Program for the fourth 10-year interval at Crystal River, Unit 3. In its letter, the licensee requested an alternative to the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for Operations and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants, 2001 Edition through 2003 Addenda, Paragraph ISTB-3510(b)(1).
The proposed alternative, Relief Request No. 08-001-IT, Revision 0, "Pump Suction Pressure Instrument Accuracy," was included in the attachment, Inservice Testing (IST) Program, Ten-Year Update, of the October 31, 2007 letter. Subsequently, the licensee determined that Relief Request No. 08-001-IT is not required for the implementation of the next IST Program 10-year interval, and by letter dated June19, 2008, (ADAMS Accession No. ML081770059) withdrew the relief request.
