May 28, 2008 Mr. Michael W. Rencheck Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer Indiana Michigan Power Company Nuclear Generation Group One Cook Place Bridgman, MI 49106

SUBJECT:

DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 304 FOR UNIT 1 AND NO. 287 FOR UNIT 2 (TAC NOS.

MD6317 AND MD6318)

Dear Mr. Rencheck:

On April 28, 2008, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued Amendment No. 304 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-58 for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Unit 1, and Amendment No. 287 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-74 for Unit 2. The amendments added a Surveillance Requirement (SR) 3.8.2.2 regarding offsite electrical power supplied via backfeed through the main transformer and a unit auxiliary transformer while in Mode 5, Mode 6, or during movement of irradiated fuel.

Subsequent to issuance, the NRC staff noted that new Technical Specifications page 3.8.2-3 contains a note under SR 3.8.2.2, originally proposed by your July 30, 2007, application, but had been deleted by your February 13, 2008, supplement. While issuing the subject amendment, the NRC staff overlooked the revised proposal conveyed by your February 13, 2008, letter.

Thus, according to the NRC=s policy established by SECY-96-238 (Agencywide Document Access and Management System Accession No. 9611250030), this error can be corrected by a letter. Enclosed please find the replacement Page 3.8.2-3 for each unit. This correction does not change any of the conclusions in the safety evaluation associated with the amendment. We apologize if this error had caused you any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

/RA/
