SUMMARY
OF APRIL 14, 2006, MEETING TO DISCUSS CALCULATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUBMITTAL PERTAINING TO THE ELIMINATION OF THE MAIN STEAMLINE RADIATION MONITOR TRIPS (TAC NO. MC8883)
On April 14, 2006, members of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff met with Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC) representatives at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. The meeting was a Category 1 public meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to allow DAEC representatives to present their meteorological calculations associated with their submittal dated November 14, 2005. This submittal proposed revising the table of primary containment isolation instrumentation to eliminate the trip generated by the main steamline radiation monitors.
The NRC staff asked questions and provided feedback.
No regulatory decisions were made at the meeting.
The meeting agenda was provided with the meeting notice (ML060890179). The licensees presentation slides are enclosed. A list of attendees is enclosed.
