CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NOS. 244 AND 243 FOR SURRY POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 (TAC NOS. MC4412 AND MC4413)
Dear Mr. Christian:
On September 15, 2005, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 244 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-32 and Amendment No. 243 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-37 for the Surry Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. These amendments were in response to your application dated September 15, 2004, as supplemented by letter dated May 5, 2005.
These amendments revised the Technical Specifications (TSs) to support the implementation of the proposed Topical Report DOM-QA-1, Dominion Nuclear Facility Quality Assurance Program Description. This topical report created a common quality assurance program for North Anna, Surry, and Millstone Power Stations. Since the issuance of Amendment Nos. 244 and 243, Virginia Electric and Power Company (VEPCO) has informed the NRC staff that the errata sheet, which lists the TS pages that were removed and replaced by the amendments, did not show the deletion of TS pages 6.1.4 through 6.1.13. The NRC staff has reviewed VEPCOs request and has determined that approval for the deletion of these TS pages was included in the NRC staffs safety evaluation for these amendments. The NRC staff has revised the errata sheet. The corrected errata sheet is enclosed with this letter. The revisions are identified by lines in the margin.
