April 1, 2005 U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION REGION I NOTICE OF LICENSEE MEETING No.05-017 Licensee: Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, LLC (NMPNS)

Facility: Nine Mile Point, Units 1 and 2 Docket No. 50-220 and 50-410 Time and Date: 1:00 p.m. on April 28, 2005 Location: Joint News Center Oswego County Airport County Route 176 Fulton, NY 13069

Purpose:

The NRC requested an Annual Assessment Meeting with NMPNS management to discuss NRCs assessment of the safety performance of the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Power Plant for calendar year 2004. NRCs assessment is documented in a letter dated March 2, 2005.

NRC Attendees: J. Trapp, Chief, Project Branch 1, Division of Reactor Projects, Region I G. Hunegs, Senior Resident Inspector, Nine Mile Point B. Fuller, Resident Inspector, Nine Mile Point E. Knutson, Resident Inspector, Nine Mile Point Licensee Attendees: J. Heffley, Senior VP & Chief Nuclear Officer J. Spina, Vice President Nine Mile Point J. Hosmer, VP-Nuclear Technical Services T. OConnor, Plant General Manager R. Godley, Manager Operations W. Holston, Manager Engineering Services Public Participation: This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned. The NRC will also conduct a discussion on Nine Mile Point and James A.

FitzPatrick performance with the public at the Assembly Hall in the Town of Scriba at 42 Creamery Road, Oswego, NY between 7-8 p.m., on April 28, 2005 (See Notice 05-019).
