Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station Technical Specification Proposed Change No. 267 Drywell Spray Header and Nozzle Air Test Frequency -

Supplement No. I In Reference (a), Vermont Yankee proposed a change to the Technical Specification Surveillance Requirement 4.5.B.1, Containment Spray Cooling Capability and associated Bases. Specifically, the surveillance frequency for the drywell spray loops (air test) is requested to be revised.

In the analysis section of this proposed change, it was stated that the potential for corrosion in the drywell spray headers was minimized by maintaining the headers dry. It was further mentioned that the spray headers have drains to assist in this regard. As a clarification, the lower drywell spray header has an installed low point drain and the upper drywell spray header has the spray nozzles attached near to the bottom of the header and is essentially self-draining.

This supplement to the license amendment request provides additional information to clarify Entergy's application for a license amendment and does not change the scope or conclusions in the original application, nor does it change Entergy's determination of no significant hazards consideration.

There are no new regulatory commitments being made in this submittal.
