ACCEPTANCE OF BOILING WATER REACTOR OWNERS GROUP (BWROG)
LICENSING TOPICAL REPORT, NEDO-33160, "REGULATORY RELAXATION FOR THE POST ACCIDENT SAFETY RELIEF VALVE (SRV) POSITION INDICATION SYSTEM" FOR REVIEW (TAC NO. MC5446)
Dear Mr. Putnam:
By letter dated December 13, 2004, the BWROG submitted for NRC staff review Topical Report (TR) NEDO-33160, "Regulatory Relaxation for the Post Accident SRV Position Indication System." The NRC staff has performed an acceptance review of the TR NEDO-33160, and found that the material presented is sufficient to begin our comprehensive review. The staff expects to issue requests for additional information by June 30, 2005, and complete its review by January 30, 2006, and estimates that the review will require approximately 250 staff hours including project management time. The review schedule milestones and estimated review costs were discussed and agreed upon in a telephone conference between Mr. Jim Kenny and the NRC staff on January 19, 2005.
