SUMMARY

OF MAY 10, 2004, MEETING TO DISCUSS WAYS TO RESOLVE OCONEE LICENSING ISSUES On May 10, 2004, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) met with Duke Energy Corporation (the licensee) to discuss ways to resolve Oconee licensing issues. Attachment 1 provides a list of attendees. Attachment 2 contains the meeting handouts provided by the licensee.

The licensee expressed concern with the time and the effort that is needed to resolve some of the Oconee licensing and inspection issues. The NRC staff suggested that periodic focused meetings might help resolve these licensing inspection issues. The licensee agreed that such meetings might be useful.
