RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1 - RE: DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION FOR PROPOSED 1.7 PERCENT INCREASE IN LICENSED POWER LEVEL (TAC NO. MB5094)
Dear Mr. Hinnenkamp:
We have reviewed the application from River Bend Station, Unit 1 (RBS) dated May 14, 2002, as supplemented by letters dated July 9, August 2, September 16, and November 7 and 22, 2002. The proposed amendment would increase the licensed power level by approximately 1.7 percent from 3,039 megawatts thermal (MWt) to 3,091 MWt. These changes would result from increased feedwater flow measurement accuracy to be achieved by utilizing high accuracy ultrasonic flow measurement instrumentation.
Enclosed is a draft safety evaluation (SE) for RBS. This draft SE is being withheld from public disclosure at this time because it may contain proprietary information.
We are providing this draft SE for the purpose of identifying if it contains any proprietary information pursuant to Section 2.790 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Please provide any comments that you may have on the enclosed draft SE with regard to the inclusion of proprietary information by January 17, 2003.
