SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IMPAIRMENTS REQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION PURPOSE:
Technical Specification (TS) 3.14.5.b requires the submission of a report to the NRC if a non-functional fire barrier penetration is not returned to functional status within 7 days.
TS 3.14 also states that certain other conditions require NRC notification.
In accordance with the above requirements, this special report is being submitted in order to notify the NRC.
EVENT:
See the attached list for Fire Protection Impairments (FPIs) being reported.
CAUSE AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:
The FPIs were issued as a result of Fire Protection surveillances being performed.
The impairments are evaluated and work on corrections is being done.
The plant continues to implement the compensatory measures as applicable.
STATUS UPDATE:
See the attached list for Fire Protection Impairments previously reported which have been closed.
