SPECIAL REPORT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM IMPAIRMENTS REQUIRING NRC NOTIFICATION PURPOSE:
Technical Specification (TS) 3.14.5.b requires the submission of a report to the NRC if a non-functional fire barrier penetration is not returned to functional status within 7 days.
TS 3.14 also states that certain other conditions require NRC notification.
In accordance with the above requirements, this special report is being submitted in order to notify the NRC.
EVENT0 See the attached list for Fire Protection Impairments being reported.
CAUSE AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:
FPI 2566 was for the installation of a conduit and the work is now complete.
The rest of the FPIs were issued as a result of fire protection surveillances currently being performed.
The impairments are being evaluated, and work on corrections is in progress.
The plant continues to implement the compensatory measures as'pplicable.
STATUS UPDATE:
See the attached list for Fire Protection Impairments previously reported which have been closed.
