Dear Mr. Van Brunt:
- Subject: NRC. Examinations at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Generating Station
' From Sept' ember 24 to October 3, 1985, the NRC administered examinations to employees of your company who had applied for licenses to operate your Palo Verde Unit I and Unit II.
As a result of these examinations nine Senior Reactor Operator Candidates and thirteen Reactor Operator Candidates were found to meet the minimum qualification requirements for licensing.

At the conclusion of the examinations on September 27 and October 3, 1985, the examination process and preliminary findings were discussed with members of your staff as detailed in the enclosed report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed.in NRC's Public Document Room. The examination scores and
.results for individual applicants are exempt from disclosure by 10 CFF 2.790(a)(6) and, therefore, enclosure 3 will not be placed in the NRC's Public Document-Room.
