INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-387/96-03 AND 50-388/96-03 (REPLY)
Dear Mr. Byram:
This refers to your August 9, 1996, correspondence in response to our letter, dated June 10, 1996.
The correspondence dealt with three violations identified during the performance of an engineering inspection documented in NRC Inspection Report 50-387/96-03 and 50-388/96-03.
The violations concerned the failure of your organization to correct longstanding deficiencies in the reactor water cleanup ventilation area leak detection and seismic monitoring systems, a failure to comply with the ACTION statement contained in the seismic monitoring system plant technical specification and a failure to update the plant final safety analysis report.
We have performed a summary review of your response in accordance with NRC Inspection Manual 92903 and have determined the corrective actions outlined in your August 9, 1996, letter are appropriate.
We willfurther review the effectiveness of these actions in a future inspection.
