EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Examination Report 50-352 & 353/97-04 (OL)
An initial retake operating examination was administered to one reactor operator (RO)
applicant on May 1,1997, at the Limerick Generating station.
Operations A facility-developed operating examination was administered by the NRC to an RO license applicant who had failed his first examination administered on January 21-24,1997. The applicant passed his retake examination.

Details 05.1 Ooerator Initial Examination a.
Scope The NRC administered a retake initial operating examination to one reactor operator (RO) applicant on May 1,1997. The examination was developed and administered in accordance with generic letter, GL 95-06, " Changes in the Operator Licensing Program," guidelines and NUREG-1021, " Examiner Standards," Revision 7.
b.
Observations and Findinas The facility developed the operating examination, which was reviewed, approved and administered by the NRC. The examination, with minor changes from the
,
'
original submittal, was validated at the facility on April 28,1997.
The results of the examination is summarized below:
t RO Pass / Fail Written waived Operating 1/0 Overall 1/0 The applicant's performance was satisfactory. No generic weaknesses were identified. An appropriate level of management oversight in the evaluation of the operating examination was apparent in the presen::e and involvement of operations, and training managers and the supervisors in the oxamination preparation and validation.

Conclusion.ji One RO applicant passed his retake initial operating examination and was issued a license.
