SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT - NRC SPECIAL INSPECTION REPORT 05000327/2006401 AND 05000328/2006401
Dear Mr. Singer:
On August 11, 2006, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a Special Inspection at your Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. The enclosed report presents the inspection results, which were discussed on August 11, 2006, with Mr. R. Goodrich, and other members of your staff. The determination to conduct the inspection was made on August 7, 2006, for the purpose of reviewing the circumstances of an event related to the search of packages and materials prior to entry into the protected area. The inspection started on August 9, 2006.
Following additional in-office review, a final exit meeting was held on September 7, 2006, with Mr. D. Kulisek, and other members of your staff.
This inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to security and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license.
The inspectors reviewed selected procedures and records, observed activities, and interviewed personnel.
Based on the results of the inspection no findings of significance were identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system, ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room). However, because of the security-related concerns contained in the enclosure, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 a copy of this letters enclosure will not be available for public inspection.
