PRAIRIE ISLAND NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REPLY TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION 05000306/

2015008-01; DATED FEBRUARY 4, 2016

Dear Mr. Davison,

This letter acknowledges the letter from Mr. K. Davison, Site Vice President, Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),

dated February 4, 2016, which provided a response to the Notice of Violation that was issued in NRC Inspection Report 05000306/2015008, dated January 5, 2016.

We reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 2.201, Notice of Violation. In the February 4, 2016 letter, you identify the corrective actions that your facility has taken or plans to take to address the violation. The NRC has reviewed the corrective actions, which appear to be adequate, and has no further questions at this time. The actions Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant has taken, and plans to take to address the violation may be reviewed in more detail during a future inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding, of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS)

component of the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
