INDIAN POINT UNIT 3 NUCLEAR POWER STATION - NRC INSPECTION REPORT 05000286/2003011

Dear Mr. Dacimo:

On November 7, 2003, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed an engineering team inspection at the Indian Point Unit 3 Nuclear Power Station. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection, which were discussed with you and other members of your staff on November 7, 2003.

The inspection examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to safety, and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license.

The inspection consisted of system walkdowns; examination of selected procedures, drawings, modifications, calculations, surveillance tests and maintenance records; and interviews with site personnel.

Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRCs document system (ADAMS).
