2 A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) failure in the control logic for the B-Main Feed Pump resulted in a loss of main feed train event, leading to a manual reactor trip. The PCB was replaced and the unit was returned to service.

SUMMARY

While operating at 100% power, a PCB failure caused a main feed pump trip. Plant operating procedures require initiation of a manual reactor trip on a loss of feedwater train while above 90% power. The PCB failure was the only equipment problem experienced. Following replacement of the PCB, the unit was returned to service.
