2. NRC Regulatory Issue Summary 2009-006 Importance of Giving NRC Advance Notice of Intent to Pursue License Renewal

Dear Sir or Madam:

Per Reference 1, STARS provided the revised submittal schedule for license renewal application for STARS Alliance member stations. Luminant Generation Company, LLC (Luminant Power) was referred to in Reference 1 as STARS Station 6. Luminant Power with the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP) is no longer a member of the STARS Alliance. Reference 2 requested that licensees provide a written, voluntary submission of licensee's plans regarding license renewal. The purpose of this letter is to formally notify the NRC of the change to the submittal schedule for CPNPP.

STARS Station 6 is shown on the NRC License Renewal website to be submitting an application between July and September 2018. As stated above, CPNPP was STARS Station 6 however Luminant Power is no longer part of the STARS Alliance. The revised license renewal application submittal date for CPNPP is now scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

This communication contains no new licensing basis commitments regarding Comanche Peak Unit 1 and Unit 2.
